Youth For Christ Lincoln and City Impact are officially joining forces to create a stronger and more unified organization to reach and embrace our community. This partnership represents a beautiful evolution of a shared mission to see lives transformed by the power of Christ. By coming together under the Youth For Christ Lincoln umbrella while maintaining the beloved City Impact name at its current location, we ensure our work remains both impactful and sustainable for many years to come.

This merger is a celebration of camaraderie and unity as two organizations with deep roots and common values become one family. We are not just changing our structure but expanding our reach and enhancing our operational efficiency to better serve our neighbors. This is a season of transformation that honors our individual legacies and paves the way for a bright and energetic future together. This is a collaborative merger. Both organizations have decided together that its better to be one under the Youth for Christ umbrella. Youth for Christ USA offers some great services to local chapters like us such as curriculum, risk management, and HR support that will make the combined new entity stronger. Several members of the City Impact board are joining the Youth for Christ Lincoln board of directors as part of this merger. The remaining organization in which Youth For Christ Lincoln serves as the parent organization, providing a strong, unified structure and administrative oversight for both entities.
The core services remain the same, but you can expect them to grow and become even more effective as we share our best ideas and resources. City Impact will continue to operate Gifts of Love, reading programs, youth Bible programs, as well as City Impact Homes. Campus Life will continue to offer programming for youth at high schools and middle schools. Parent Life will continue to reach and engage pregnant and parenting teens. Juvenile Justice Ministry will continue to provide chaplaincy and volunteer mobilization to serve teens in jail.
We realized that by working together, we could achieve far more than we ever could apart, and this is the perfect time to solidify our future. Over and over the feedback has been very positive, many people would love to see more nonprofit organizations with complimentary missions merge.
While it is true that many nonprofits face increasing financial pressures, we view this merger as a proactive and strategic way to improve operational efficiency in support of our shared mission. By joining forces, we are building a more sustainable model that ensures our work remains impactful while allowing us to be the best possible stewards of our resources.
We are keeping both locations Campus Life / The Rock at 6401 Pine Lake and City Impact at 1035 N 33rd St. Our programs will operate out of the spaces that best serve our specific program needs and community outreach. Some traditional YFC programs such as Parent Life will relocate to the City Impact location as that is much closer to the population of teens needing those services. City Impact remains a vital hub at its current location. Campus Life will have teen programming at both City Impact and The Rock providing the same trusted mentorship in the neighborhoods and schools where we are already established.
Yes, our mission to empower and support young people through faith and mentorship remains our absolute priority.
We expect our partnerships to strengthen as we offer a more streamlined and comprehensive approach to youth development in Lincoln.
Yes all of our programs have individual budgets that affect their ability to be successful in the community. You can designate your gift to any ministry: Campus Life, City Impact, Gifts of Love, Juvenile Justice Ministry, Parent Life or give to them all by giving to our Outreach Fund.
