You don’t have to travel to the Holy Lands
You don't have to buy a round trip ticket to experience God like the Israelites did. God lived among his people for 40 years in the Tabernacle as they wandered the dessert.
And even after they arrived in the Promised Land Levites and priests met with him in the Tabernacle until Solomon built the Temple.

Bring the Holy Lands to Your Hometown
Host the Tabernacle in Your Community
Traveling to Jerusalem and the Holy Lands is out of reach for most people in your congregation. The Tabernacle Experience brings the Holy Lands to Your hometown. While visiting a full-sized replica your congregants will have all 5 senses engaged as they see, hear, touch, smell, and even taste what it might have been like to wander the desert with Moses, worship God through daily rituals and sacrifices. During this 40 minute audio tour of the Tabernacle the Bible will come alive in a way that simply reading and learning cannot do. The audio tour takes visitors through 10 different stations where they will stand before the altar of burnt offering, wash their hands in the laver, see their prayers lifted up at the Altar of Incense and enter the holy of holies to view the Ark of the Covenant. As the Bible comes to life your members will experience the Bible like never before. Over the 20+ years of the Tabernacle Experience thousands of Christ-followers have had their faith renewed and been encouraged to encounter God in the imagery of the Tabernacle.

When the Tabernacle Experience comes to your town it is set up for 10 days of public visitation. This allows 2 weekends where Christians from your church and area churches can experience the Holy Lands. We pull a massive trailer with all of the tents, curtains, and supplies to your location. On a Thursday with the help of 20 people from your church we set up the Tabernacle. On Friday there is a soft opening day which includes a free visit day for all area pastors. (12 day calendar) Thursday – Set up Friday – Free Pastor Day and Volunteer Training Saturday-Sunday (10 days later) – Open to the Public Monday – Tear Down Day
-
The Courtyard measures 75′ x 150′. The Tabernacle Proper, a tent measuring 15’ x 45’ rests within the confines of the Courtyard. Two auxiliary tents are set up outside the perimeters of the Courtyard, each tent measuring 10′ x 20′.
-
The setup and tear down day will require 20 people to erect the Tabernacle and pack it up.
We schedule 2 daily shifts. During the week days we will require at least 4 Volunteer Attendants and on weekends 6 Attendants . Each Attendant signs up for three shifts during the 10 day stay.
We are committed to train and coach your Volunteer Attendants Friday morning prior to Opening Day! -
As the host church the cost is $5000 plus a $1/mile transport fee to bring the Tabernacle Experience to your town. You may earn back that deposit from visitor entrance fees.
Just as the Israelites had to pay an annual half-shekel to the upkeep of the Tabernacle visitors experiencing the Tabernacle are asked for a suggested donation of $10 per person or $30 per family. If, as the host, you chose not to charge the full price to visitors that is fine, but all visitors are required to register.
Additionally you should plan to spend $1000 promoting the event through: an area pastor's lunch, direct mail, and printing. -
Our team of passionate Bible teachers is willing to step into the pulpit of your church and deliver a teaching on the Tabernacle, its significance in the Old Testament and its application to Christians living today, 3000 years after it traveled through the wilderness with Moses. Work with other churches in your area. Talk to at least 3 other pastors in your area to see if they would be willing to host this with you by committing to share the experience with their congregation the impact of the Holy Lands can reach far beyond your church.

History of the Tabernacle Experience
In 1996 Jeanne Whittaker was on the trip to the Holy Lands. Through a unique experience there God placed on her heart a desire to help people experience God in a new way. After weeks of study and prayer she put together the first Tabernacle Experience. It was nothing like it is today a simple experience for the women of her church to enter the presence of God. That seed grew and grew until it was a full sized Tabernacle traveling the country to give people the chance to encounter God. For decades the Tabernacle Experience operated out of her home church in Colorado. In 2025 as her career came to an end it found a home here at Youth for Christ Lincoln. We are excited to continue to share the hope of Christ through the experience for years to come.
