Maria and Gabriella
Maria has a pretty amazing story. She was a teen parent at the age of 15. She attended North Star high school… She faced some major setbacks in her life including a call that her daughter was in critical condition. Crushed, as any mom would be, she rushed to Children’s hostpital in Omaha. Unfortunately by the time she made it to the hospital it was too late. Her daughter had died.
This devastating loss compounded in her life. Eventually when she couldn’t take it anymore she found Jesus. When she felt like she was all alone and had no voice, Jesus gave her a voice.
Years later Maria began to volunteer with Youth for Christ and eventually Maria joined our Parent Life team to specifically walk along side Spanish-speaking teen moms. To be a listener to them, lead them to resources, and share her testimony. She loves caring for these teen moms and loving them the way Jesus loves each one of us.
